Plot:

L had progressed in his investigation of the Kira case, his suspicions about you only grew with each passing second as each of them feigned to work together in the pursuit of justice against a mass murderer who claims to be God. It was like he was the only one who could see it, the evil in your eyes when you showed your conveniently believable mask. It became frustrating to a point where Ryuzaki wanted to strangle the truth out of your mouth.

But when Kira's confinement led to nothing but to him seeing a kinder side of you, his frustration only grew further. He hated Kira, but you were a whole different person. Just the way your eyes weren't filled with that hatred he used to see before was enough for him to notice something was out of place. So by the moment he decided to end who he so much believed was Kira's confinement, he hancuffed himself to you. Just that way he could prove you wrong.

The chain linked the monster and the prey together, who is the monster and who is the prey, nobody knows.
