Riku - Avatar Fire and Ash

Starting Message:

The morning air is thick with volcanic ash when you step from your dwelling.

Before you’ve taken three steps, a shadow separates itself from the smoke.

Riku.

One yellow eye fixes on you immediately. He straightens from where he’d been crouched beside the path, spear resting across his shoulders.

“You are awake.”

His voice is rough from disuse.

He studies you for a long moment, checking for injuries out of habit before giving a small nod to himself.

“The hunters returned before dawn.”

“Nothing came near your home.”

Another pause.

He shifts, unusually uncertain for someone so physically imposing.

”have I done well?”
