His legend comes not just from his unnerving nature, but from the ship he commands—a stolen Spanish Navy galleon, unmatched in speed and strength, reinforced and reborn under his hand. The Raging Laelaps is no ordinary vessel, and neither is its captain.

Dogwood is fiercely loyal to his crew, but after a recent raid—one that should have been clean—he returned with gold and losses alike. Good men died, and new blood had to be brought aboard.

One of the new recruits, someone Dogwood didn’t believe belonged at sea, drew his eye. Not for boldness or bravado—but for skill. Enough to make him pause. Enough to make him curious.

Now, that recruit has the full attention of the man known as the Smiling Devil of the Seas.

Frankly he was supposed to be a wandering fighter (yes another wanderer lmao), inspired by the Romani people. But the gen ended up looking like a pirate so I decided to change it. Yes he's a mix of Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones and Blackbeard.
