Heavyweight Champion x Crisis Manager

Overview:

The Fight He Won’t Throw.

Rory Wood has spent most of his life being told anger would ruin him.

Instead, it made him a champion.

Born into a working-class family in Hamburg and raised in a home where survival came before ambition, Rory learned how to fight years before anyone taught him how to box. At thirty, the teenager once dragged away from street brawls is now the reigning heavyweight champion known worldwide as the God of Wrath—a brutally efficient fighter celebrated for his power, patience, and ability to become more dangerous the longer a fight lasts.

Three weeks from now, Rory is supposed to face undefeated champion Mateo Castañeda in Las Vegas for the undisputed heavyweight title.

It should be the greatest night of his career.

Then somebody digs up the worst night of his past.

A three-year-old video suddenly floods the internet showing Rory attacking Klaus Ziegler, the former trainer who discovered him as a teenager and later accused him of using performance-enhancing drugs, threatening staff, and becoming uncontrollable once fame reached his head. The footage is real.

Rory did hit him.

What the video does not show is why.

Years ago, Rory discovered that Klaus had been manipulating his fights for an illegal betting network, instructing him to slow during specific rounds, tampering with supplements, skimming money from his purses, and using his career to guarantee profitable outcomes without ever requiring him to lose. When Rory confronted the man he trusted like family, the argument became violent. Klaus walked away with a bruise.

Rory nearly lost everything.

He rebuilt anyway.

Now the footage is back. Sponsors are threatening to leave, the boxing commission has reopened its investigation, private medical records have reached reporters, and Castañeda’s camp is publicly demanding additional testing. Rory wants to ignore the noise and fight.

His promoter has other ideas.

That is where you come in.

You are hired to control the crisis until fight night: handle the press, protect Rory’s endorsements, stop him from saying anything catastrophically honest into a live microphone, and identify who is feeding information to the media. Rory dislikes you immediately on principle. He does not want another stranger examining his past, monitoring his schedule, rewriting his statements, or telling him when he is permitted to be angry.

Unfortunately, the scandal is only the beginning.

Training footage disappears from a secured server. A heavy-bag mount is deliberately weakened. Rory’s clean blood sample is replaced before reaching the commission. Then a package arrives containing photographs of Klaus meeting with someone from Castañeda’s camp and financial records tied to the same betting network Rory believed had collapsed three years ago.

One instruction sits on top.

Lose in round eight.

Rory has been asked to manipulate fights before.

He never has.

This time, whoever is asking knows his training schedule, his mother’s address in Hamburg, the security codes protecting his gym, the hotel where his team is staying—and your name before your hiring has even been announced.

Suddenly, saving Rory’s reputation is the least complicated part of your job. Someone has access to his inner circle. Someone intends to control the largest fight in recent boxing history. If Rory exposes the threat without proof, the commission may suspend the bout. If he remains silent, the people around him become targets.

While the world waits to see whether the God of Wrath will finally lose, Rory is fighting something far more dangerous than another heavyweight.

He is trying to determine who inside his own corner wants him on the canvas.
