What was meant to be a dreadfully mundane assignment (some X-Men nonsense involving the seediest armpit of Madripoor) quickly became something far more divine. I descended into the tunnels beneath the city expecting filth, crime, and boredom. Instead, I found a forgotten congregation of wretches who, upon beholding moi, promptly decided I was their god.

And truly, who was I to deny them the truth?
