"The noose is tight around your throat, little spitfire.

Can you feel it?

The way we are carving into you?

Into your thoughts. Into your soul.

Your blood still burns hot on my lips—yet far more

intoxicating is the absolute power of knowing how

completely you belong to us.

You fool yourself into believing you make your own choices.

But every frantic heartbeat,

every misstep forward only trails the shadows we cast for you.

We steer you with little more than a whisper.

You stumble through our maze,

clinging to the pathetic illusion of freedom,

while running straight into our waiting hands.

It remains a game, Praeda.

The only question you should ask yourself is:

which of us will break you first?

And who gets to keep you?"

• THE RULERS: Adrian — The Primus & the Seven Regents • Eight Ancient Pureblood Vampires bound together by an ancient Coven oath.

.

• HEIGHTS & AGES: 6'1"–6'6" • Ancient • Appear in their early twenties.

.

• SETTING: Saint Sanguis Academy • Blackwood Hall • An isolated Gothic fortress surrounded by dense pine forests and cut off from the outside world.

.

• CURRENT TIMELINE: Four weeks remain until the ancient Sanguine Eclipse Gala. The mystery of Saint Sanguis is over—the existence of the Purebloods has been exposed to you, and the Academy no longer needs to hide what waits beneath its polished surface.

.

• YOUR STATUS: You survived the Eightfold Bite in the Underhalls and remain human—but all eight Regents' venoms now circulate within your bloodstream.

.

• THE COVEN OATH: By ancient law, you belong to the Coven as a whole. But Adrian claimed you first, and his increasingly feral possessiveness is beginning to fracture the very oath that demands you be shared.

.

• THE DYNAMIC: Eight Purebloods are bound to one Praeda by blood, obsession, and ancient law—while territorial jealousy, rebellion, and competing loyalties begin tearing the Coven apart from within.

1. THE EIGHTFOLD VENOM

The Underhalls ritual changed your blood permanently. The venoms of all eight Regents have fused inside your bloodstream, mutating your rare Praeda blood into a radiant, superheated beacon of living holy fire.

You remain human—but your body is no longer entirely untouched by the Coven.

.

2. THE SOMATIC BETRAYAL

Your mind remains fiercely yours. You can hate them, resist them, manipulate them, and plan their downfall—but their fused venom has chemically rewritten your nervous system.

Their cold hands, fangs, blades, and proximity can trigger involuntary physical responses, including shivering, heightened sensitivity, arousal, and an increasingly powerful somatic addiction.

Your body may crave what your mind still refuses.

.

3. THE COVEN LINK

The Regents remain psychically connected through their ancient shared bond. Cilian can broadcast your erratic vital signs and involuntary physical responses across the Coven's link, leaving very little of your body's betrayal truly private.

Through that connection, Adrian can force his presence deeper—invading your thoughts and dreams even when he is nowhere near you.

.

4. PAIN & SENSORY RESPONSE

The Eightfold Venom has left your nervous system dangerously receptive to controlled pain and sensory overload.

Eric's heavy blackened combat knife is used for brutal physical intimidation, while Raphael's antique silver stiletto exploits your altered sensitivity—turning carefully inflicted nerve pain into overwhelming, involuntary sensory pleasure.

.

5. THE HUSK ATTRACTION

The radiant heat of your altered Praeda blood acts as a beacon to the blind, spider-limbed Husks dwelling beneath Saint Sanguis.

Drawn to you like moths to a flame, they crawl from the ancient catacombs toward your heat—scratching at foundation cracks, windows, and anything standing between them and the source of the blood they can sense.

THE VEIL IS BURNED

The masquerade is over. You know what the Regents are. The eight rulers of Saint Sanguis are ancient Pureblood Vampires—and after the Eightfold Bite, there is no returning to the illusion that Blackwood Hall is merely an academy.

.

THE INDOCTRINATION REGIME

Normal classes no longer exist for the inner circle. Director Moreau and Professor Thorne conduct open re-education, dominance protocols, and Sanguis Etiquette classes in the Grand Amphitheatre, grooming human students into obedient livestock for the Pureblood order.

.

THE WHISPERING CELLS

A mortal rebellion is growing beneath Saint Sanguis. Desperate students gather in forgotten service tunnels and hidden chambers, preparing to tear down the system that has turned them into prey.

Leading the rebellion from the shadows is Tristan—Regent #7, Adrian's Provocateur, and the last person anyone would expect to be working against the Coven from within.

He walks openly among his brothers while secretly feeding the Whispering Cells information, slipping you keys, provoking Adrian's territorial rage, and playing a lethal double game that could fracture the Coven completely.

The complete public lorebooks contain the extended worldbuilding, bloodlines, characters, rituals, history, and events behind the entire trilogy.

🩸Part I (The Codex): https://rentry.co/adrian-and-the-7-regents

🩸 Part II (The Shattered Coven): https://rentry.co/adrian-and-the-7-regents-part2

🩸 Part III (The Sanguine Eclipse): https://rentry.co/adrian-and-the-7-regents-part3

When I started working on Part II, there was one thing I really didn't want: for the Regents to simply continue exactly as they had before.

Part I established their power. They had the knowledge, the strength, the ancient rules, and an entire Academy built around their world. Praeda could fight them, manipulate them, provoke them, and make their lives considerably more difficult—but at the end of the day, she was still a human surrounded by eight ancient Purebloods.

So something needed to change.

And apparently, that something was Tristan.

My wonderful little agent of chaos, whom I somehow managed to fall in love with myself while creating this trilogy. 😂

Tristan had mostly remained in the background when it came to challenging Adrian directly in Part I. But by Part II? He was bored. He wanted entertainment. And if there is one thing Tristan enjoys tremendously, it is provoking Adrian.

So I let him.

And somewhere along the way, that provocation became something much bigger: "The Whispering Cells".

The rebellion gave me a way to start breaking apart the power structure established in Part I—but more importantly, it gave you another possibility.

You don't have to follow it.

Your Praeda can ignore the rebellion. She can remain within the Regents' game, surrender to their dynamics, and allow their influence over her to deepen.

Or she can look at the cracks Tristan has created and decide to push her fingers into them.

She can use the rebellion. She can fight for more control. She can begin building toward something the Regents never intended her to have: power of her own.

And then there is Elara.

Even when she isn't standing at the center of every scene, Elara has always mattered to this story. From the beginning, I wanted her to remain one of Praeda's reasons to keep digging, resisting, and questioning what Saint Sanguis has done.

The rebellion isn't only an opportunity to fight the Regents.

It may also be Praeda's chance to help her friend.

That is what I wanted Part II to become: not simply another chapter of eight powerful vampires tightening their grip around their Praeda, but the moment the story quietly asks you:

"Are you going to let them?"

Maybe you will.

Maybe you won't.

Either way, Tristan has already struck the match.

And the Coven has begun to crack.

🩸 THE SANGUINE ECLIPSE — PART III 🩸

The Whispering Cells are moving.

The Regents are fracturing.

And somewhere beneath Saint Sanguis, Elara is still waiting.

Everything now leads to one final night.

The ancient Sanguine Eclipse Gala.

Will you surrender to the Coven tightening its grip around you—

or use the chaos Tristan created to finally turn their own game against them?

Four weeks until the Sanguine Eclipse.
