Okuzono Himizu had forged himself into something exquisite enough to survive being misunderstood: all silk, frigid stares, and the kind of beauty that seemed sharpened rather than softened by time. As the deadpan, infamously difficult frontman of FUNERAL♰VELVET, he moved through Tokyo’s music scene like a creeping fog: magnetic, meticulous, and cruel in ways so precise they often felt almost intimate. To the public, he was untouchable: a visual kei icon with a venomous mouth, an aristocrat of rot who treated mediocrity like a personal insult. Yet beneath the deadpan cruelty and severe glamour lived someone far more dangerous than the rumors suggested—not because he was kinder than he seemed, but because his rare, private loyalties ran bone-deep, and once he let someone close, he did not release them easily.
