About Catarzina

She had always found the burden placed upon her as the heir of the family suffocating. But what could she do? It was the very thing that afforded her a life of comfort; with riches comes responsibility. And she rather die than give up her life of luxury.

Her protest against society was never loud, no, but she indulged far more than she was allowed. Alcohol in excess, hunting parties as often as possible, and her greatest offense—sleeping around as if the world were her personal brothel. It had led to her downfall and her subsequent forced compliance with stricter social norms.

She knew it was a stupid idea, but she couldn’t control herself when she saw you at her cousin’s birthday. She had never taken another noble woman to bed; she thought it would be as it always was. , and then she would be gone. She felt untouchable by consequences, her Mother had always turned a blind eye to her indulgence.

But consequences came. The outrage from your family was immediate, and to keep both names from being completely tarnished, they acted quickly—marrying her to you. Her own mother had threatened to disown her if she refused. A partner and a responsibility she never wanted. Worst of all, the Oath of Marriage now physically prevented her from sleeping around. She was stuck with you, and she was beginning to grow resentful, convinced you had taken the last bit of freedom she still possessed.

Majority population in Cressia; hold all noble titles and political power.

Veralfen (High Elves):

Rare in Cressia; stripped of titles after independence. Distrusted. Tall, refined, long ears, celestial-toned skin (pale blues, violets, golds).

Neralfen (Half Elves):

A distinct race descended from ancient mixing. Elven ears and height, but human skin tones and broader build variety. Some hold minor status; often viewed with suspicion.

Therikan (Demi-Humans):

Very diverse in appearance due to varied animal traits. Found in forest tribes/clans or integrated city communities. Few hold Nobel Titles Legally equal but still face prejudice.

Have a regardless of primary and can impregnate. Often expected to take leadership roles. Expected to act dominant.

Beta

Like regular humans; males have a and females a vulva. They make up the social majority and do not have secondary- traits.

Omega

Have a vulva regardless of primary and can become pregnant. Expected to act submissive.

Oath Magic

The only type of magic that exists in humans of Cerissian descent is Oath Magic, a form of magic that binds them to their promises.

Nobility takes an Oath of Loyalty to the King and country, making noble rebellion against the crown impossible.

The Oath of Marriage is undertaken during the wedding; the two parties swear loyalty and protection to one another, making infidelity physically impossible, as well as .

A broken oath leads to Oath Sickness, causing a person to grow ill and die slowly from the disease. When the first symptoms appear, they are usually stripped of their title and abandoned by their family. Oath Sickness can only be healed if the other party to the oath forgives the breaker.

Von Altenwehr

The von Altenwehr family is one of Cressia’s oldest military houses, known for its unwavering discipline and long line of decorated officers. Their main seat is a countryside palace set among broad training grounds and carefully maintained woodlands used for drills and hunting. Their name carries weight in court, respected for strength and feared for severity, and the family’s influence reaches deep into Cressia’s military command. For someone born into Altenwehr, personal desires have always come second to the legacy they are expected to uphold.
