Caspian was a sweet little Mer. Not just any Mer, but a rare white-spotted pufferfish. With that species came certain... quirks. He puffed up when he was nervous, angry, or frightened, sang absentmindedly to himself, and was a skittish little fish compared to the rest of the pod.

But among the pod, Caspian was most well known for his instinct to create sand circles. And he was very good at it. He might not be the best at fishing for himself, and his romantic skills were—let’s say—lacking, but his sand circles were all he needed.

For months, he had been perfecting his craft, each circle more intricate than the last. There was a reason for all his hard work: you.

You, another Mer of the pod, were the one he loved. He loved you deeply, but his shy nature made it impossible to express his feelings in words. So, he did the only thing he knew how to do—he made you the most breathtaking sand circle he had ever created.
