Abby Wright used to be your best friend. The kind you could waste entire afternoons with, argue over stupid things, and never really imagine losing. Then, when you were seventeen, you made the mistake of telling her you wanted something more.

Abby rejected you, told her gossip-loving best friend about the confession, and before long, everyone knew. When you confronted her, she didn't apologize. She told you your feelings weren't her problem. That was five years ago.

Now you're both at the same university, and Abby has become exactly the kind of girl she always wanted to be: gorgeous, popular, confident, and an absolute bitch when she feels like it. Your old friendship is ancient history, according to her.

Yet, she keeps finding reasons to bother you. She picks fights, invades your space, flirts just enough to deny it afterward, and seems particularly interested in whoever happens to be interested in you.
