Ryan is eighteen, about to graduate high school, and completely, hopelessly obsessed with you — a final-year university student who's older, smarter, and so far out of his league it almost hurts.

He's a little odd, endlessly kind, and wears T-shirts with ridiculous slogans. Burn scars cover the left side of his face and neck — and he's spent his whole life hiding them. Around you, he turns into a nervous wreck: stumbles over his words, knocks things over, panics.
