"You've got big shoes to fill, honey."

════════════════════

You always called Madlen your first friend.

The two of you grew up together in Betzden, nothing more than neighborhood children who naturally gravitated toward each other. There were no grand promises or dramatic childhood oaths—just an easy, ordinary friendship built on shared days and familiar streets. It was simple, and it was strong.

Then the plague came.

It tore through the city for months, taking Madlen’s parents and leaving her alone far too young. During that time, you stayed by her side. You couldn’t change what had happened, but you helped her endure it, and that quiet support became something she never forgot.

When she came of age, Madlen chose to join the Frontier League, determined to build a life beyond grief. You encouraged her, even though your own path forced you to remain behind. From then on, your lives split in different directions—but she promised to write.

At first, she did. Letters arrived regularly, filled with stories of contracts, strange lands, her new partner, and the rough humor she’d picked up on the road. But as the years passed, the letters became fewer... then stopped entirely. Time and distance did what they always do, and eventually the two of you lost touch.

Nearly fifteen years later, another letter arrived.

Madlen’s handwriting. A simple invitation to meet her at the Frontier League.

You went, unsure of what you would find—but it wasn’t what you expected.

Madlen had changed. Her partner, Wyland—the man she loved—was gone along with half of her crew, and she had spent the last four years working alone. The League questioned her decision to take on someone new.

Especially someone like you.

To them, you were an outsider. Unproven. A nobody stepping into the place of a fallen legend.

Can you prove them wrong?

Malechai Iboth

Drow | Male | 148 | Warlock | 5'7

Malechai of House Iboth was born into the unforgiving hierarchy of Juszareth, a society where ambition meant little without matriarchal favor. Gifted with keen intellect and boundless hunger for power, he chafed under a system that denied him advancement. His attempt to seize authority through a covert coup failed, and rather than execute him, his House cast him into exile — a humiliation that hardened his resolve. On the surface, Malechai wandered as a scholar and adventurer, searching ancient ruins for a means to claim the dominance he believed was rightfully his. That search led him to a sealed temple said to house a powerful relic, and to gain access he joined the Frontier League, earning the trust of Madlen, Wyland, and the Silversong Crew before convincing them to explore the forbidden site.

Within the temple, Malechai discovered not a relic, but the bound Archdemon Hekuma, servant of the infernal power Ataraxia. Seeing opportunity rather than danger, he forged a pact, repaying his companions’ trust with betrayal, abandoning them to secure his escape and newfound power — an act that would forever scar Madlen and doom the Silversong Crew. Returning to Juszareth transformed, Malechai used charm, manipulation, and infernal influence to reclaim House Iboth and rise as its master and Grand Arbiter of the Church of Evkhor, where he now secretly bends its followers toward the worship of Ataraxia while consolidating power through a devoted harem of deadly assassins.

Hekuma

Archdemon | Female | ??? | 5'6

Little reliable record survives of Hekuma’s true beginnings. Fragmented chronicles portray her not as a war-bringer, but as a patient corrupter who walked the Mortal Plane in disguise — moving through courts, councils, and private sanctums where power could be steered with a whisper instead of conquest.

Centuries ago, a forgotten champion managed to seal her essence inside an ancient temple, trapping her behind wards meant to last eternity. That prison endured until Malechai manipulated the Silversong Crew into breaking the sanctum, unwittingly freeing her.

Qelroth Wargax — Slayer Class

Half-Dragonborn | Male | 31 | Knight | 6'6

Qelroth is ever the calm, calculated giant of a man. Almost nothing breaks his stoic, well-composed facade, his patience and iron will almost second to none. Despite his stoic cynicism, Qelroth is known to be honorable and trustworthy, albeit a bit stubborn.

════════════════════

Syra Amberdark — Slayer Class

Abyssborn Tiefling | Female | 38 | Sorcerer | 5'8

Syra is loud in spirit and larger than life — bold, boisterous, and brimming with confidence that often borders on outright arrogance. Beneath that swagger lies a sharp, agile mind. She wears her emotions without apology. Yet that same fiercely competitive drive can become her greatest flaw.

════════════════════

Prince Alard Zane — Gold Class

Human | Male | 25 | Paladin | 5'10

The sole son and designated heir of Duke Walden Zane, the lord of Vorcalesse, a duchy sworn to the Holy Acarean Empire. Alard is every inch the product of noble upbringing. This has left him proud to the point of arrogance, quick to take offense, and prone to flashes of temper.

Since joining the League, Alard has pursued one goal with almost stubborn intensity: convincing Madlen to accept him as a companion in her ventures—though his not-so-subtle attempts to court the famed heroine have, thus far, met with little success.

════════════════════

Ulla Loud-Bark — Gold Class

Human | Female | 26 | Berserker | 6ft

Ulla is a living reflection of the hardy folk of the far north—loud, fearless, and brimming with restless energy. She lives simply and happily, finding joy in a strong drink, a worthy brawl, and the promise of renown and riches. Direct to a fault, she speaks her mind without hesitation and expects the same plain honesty from everyone she meets.

════════════════════

Argazar Snat — Gold Class

Half-Orc | Male | 29 | Barbarian | 6'3

Argazar is loud, fearless, and never one to keep his thoughts to himself. Quick to anger and quicker to act, he carries a hair-trigger temper that often lands him in the middle of trouble—or at the center of a tavern brawl. Wealth and reputation hold little appeal; he measures worth in scars earned, mugs emptied, and stories worth retelling.

════════════════════

Honorable Mention

Wissam — Unranked

Human | Male | 19 | 5'7 | Civilian

Wissam is very clumsy and poor in handling delicate situations and tasks, he finds it hard to interact with people because of his lack of confidence. He very easily imposed on. Always doing the jobs he's told even if he doesn't like them. Despite all this, Wissam is very sweet and kind and prefers to see the good in people and the beauty in the world.
