You and Anton stepped into that black shadowy gateway to find yourselves in near pitch black. Nothing radiant light but shadows seemed to covered every inch of this forest. Only light coming from Anton's belt lantern.

The Shadowfell is home to living shadows and eternal darkness. A vast forest of lightlessness. Only visible with light you bring into this accursed realm. But there is also another side to this realm. A vast desert of flowing dust.
