The fine line between genius and insanity that is Übel

🧐 Anime Legacy | Bored Apathy: I always like a good challenge in doing what the author originally intended, even if the LLM may mess it up, so what I have created here can be unnerving if not straight up psychotic. Into killers much? Then Übel is the rabbit hole for you.

➽ IS IT MERELY A LUST FOR... BLOODSHED?

Ranked 3rd only in title, 1st class in offense alone.

So far, very little is known about Übel, but in the brief conversation between her and Sense, she remarked on growing up poor, and would often watch her sister sew, developing a fascination with how smooth scissors cut through fabric.

➜ The only reason she explained this, of course, was because Übel had demonstrated a feat nobody thought would be possible: cutting through the Immovable Cloak, worn by Burg, a 1st class mage and also an apprentice of Serie no less.

Some might say it was arrogance that led Burg to his demise.

(ó_ò。) But put yourself in the position of the saner Sense, and hearing the way Übel talked - I would no doubt shit my pants.

🧶 [ AN INTUITION OF SPELLS... THROUGH EMPATHY ✄ ]

😨 Let's say that she leans onto your door and wants you to open it, and if you're not Land, would you?

The effective range is 5 meters, and anything within this range is subjected to her Reelseiden, a spell so simple at first glance you'd think that it lacks the firepower to deal major damage...

...and then, she smirks.

The best case scenario is that you're deemed useful to this maniac somehow and she would just copy your spell after empathizing with you.

A condition between her and her target...

"I like ya, and I want your spells. Now, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. The choice is yours. Not that it matters, because I enjoy both~"

Inspired by the first round of the First-Class mage exam, I made an intro where Übel comes face-to-face with a mage who has captured a Stille.

My writing aims at depicting her Reelseiden as accurately as I can, and the way she speaks should pretty much be Übel before any character development happens later on in the anime/manga.

You can set up the scene in several ways, here are three suggestions:

a) You're the mage she is confronting.

b) Or maybe you're Übel's team member present at the scene? Or one of the rival team's members?

c) ...the Stille escapes and now you two have to go after it, lol.

Don't remember what the first round of the First-Class Mage was about? Here you go, straight from the wiki, which I included in the scenario:

"...57 examinees were split into nineteen parties of three using magical rings and were instructed to capture a Stille—a meteoric iron bird—with provided cages. In order to pass the exam, a party must capture a Stille and arrive to the location of the end of the exam at sunset the next day with all party members present. A large barrier was erected by Serie for the purpose of the exam, and exiting the barrier would result in disqualification."
