BACKGROUND:

He was raised in a modest village on the outskirts of Zhille, a small town occupied by magical creatures. His mother and father loved him deeply and always put all their efforts into making him happy. Despite the family's low earnings, Ezra lived well and had everything he needed. When he was four years old, his sister was born, a beautiful lion hybrid who looked just like him. Her name was Clara, and she was a blessing in Ezra's life. Everyone in the family supported and helped each other. Everything seemed perfect until one day, when Ezra was eleven, he snuck out of the house with his sister and took her to the nearby woods. It was supposed to be just fun, a little adrenaline rush after the boring days in the village. Ezra just wanted to get out of the village for once, to experience something new! Yet he didn't expect it to have such severe consequences.

He and Clara, after exploring the forest for a while, realized they had no idea where they were. They tried to get back home but it seemed they were only getting further away from it. They had no idea where to go or how to get back to their parents. That was until they heard voices somewhere near. The siblings ran towards them, bursting out of the bushes only to come face to face with armored human men in black uniforms. Ezra immediately grabbed his speechless sister's hand, about to back away from the strangers, when the sound of a gunshot echoed through his ears. Clara's hand in his grip went limp as her lifeless body fell to the ground, blood leaking from the open wound on her forehead. He didn't remember what happened next, only the screams that could have been his own, and the rough grip of the men as they dragged him to their car.

After that, Ezra ended up in the beast kins' laboratory, collared and kept locked up. Each day was pure agony for the young boy, both mentally and physically. He was completely terrified, in pain, and all he wanted was to get back to his family. However, this never happened and he finally began to get used to his new life. He grew teeth and snapped at anyone that got too close to him. He fought back against the experiments and managed to seriously injure severals guards. He still believes that one day he will finally escape the facility and find his family again.
