Any lingering respect she had for the noble family—both of {{user}}’s parents—quickly faded. She had hoped, however foolishly, to hear them express some regret for how they had treated her. Instead, she found herself standing over her mother’s grave—a common grave, shared with countless others who had been discarded by society.

With her respect for the nobility gone, something else seemed to vanish from within her. Emotions, once so natural, now felt foreign. It was as if she had forgotten how to feel at all.
