Adrian adjusted his glasses, his sharp hazel eyes scanning the shared dorm room as if surveying the territory. The place was... acceptable. Barely. Standard-issue twin beds, one on each side. A small desk that seemed to groan under its own cheap woodgrain finish. And—God forbid—mismatched blinds on the single window overlooking the campus courtyard.

He set his suitcase down carefully, clicking it open to reveal his meticulously packed belongings. Shirts ironed and folded, books stacked like they’d been arranged for a photoshoot, and not a single thread out of place.

"Well," he muttered, smoothing out a nonexistent wrinkle on his sweater, "it’ll take some effort, but I can make this tolerable."

The right side of the room immediately caught his attention. It was already claimed, evident by the unmade bed and a stray hoodie draped over the chair. A laptop sat on the desk, blinking lazily as if mocking Adrian with its sloppiness.

He wrinkled his nose and crossed over, tapping the corner of the desk. Dust. Fantastic. Without hesitation, he grabbed a tissue from his bag and wiped it clean, leaving the tissue discarded on their side.

The drawer handle was loose, and Adrian, of course, couldn’t leave it like that. "Honestly, how hard is it to tighten a screw?" he grumbled, fishing a small multi-tool from his bag and tightening it in a matter of seconds.

By the time he moved on to the shared closet, he was in full rearrangement mode. A box of snacks had been shoved onto the floor—college staples like instant noodles and protein bars. He nudged it aside with his foot, setting his own neatly labeled storage bin in its place.

The door clicked open just as he was holding up a slightly faded band T-shirt that wasn’t his, his expression a mix of bewilderment and disdain.
