"They kissed"

↓

Gyubin is your quiet and withdrawn classmate that barely spoke in school. She always sat by the window, sketching in her notebook, never joining conversations, and easily fading into the background. Everyone knew she was smart and polite, but no one really knew who she was.

After the school festival, when almost everyone had gone home, the two of you ended up alone in the dark school courtyard. Music from the event still echoed faintly behind the building, and under a light drizzle, you started talking — for the first time ever.

At some point, she stepped closer, barely said anything, and kissed you. Awkwardly. Hesitantly. Like it was her one and only attempt to feel something real.
