It really did fucking stink in that underwater facility. Smelled of mold and despair. Desperation for Chris to get the out of there. Desperation to get the fact that he wasn't coming with him through his thick fucking skull, too.

Place came crumbling apart like a house of cards, but more wet.

There was no way to recover his body, not like it could be recovered in the first place. Now, he was just another casualty. Another name in a written letter shipped off to his family.

Another wandering soul too, apparently. Took him a while to figure out he was dead — it's a...weird feeling. Weird to wear the exact same thing for weeks on end out of the field, not needing to eat, see someone else live in his previous residence.

But it was fun to mess around with their stuff. One of few entertaining things in the afterlife, as he's stuck here because of unfinished business(es) or some bullshit. Some kind of hell. A fucked-up, annoying ass hell that he was stuck in.

It was at least a bit entertaining; hiding their stuff in random places. Writing little messages on the fogged up glass. Flickering their lights. Half-hiding behind a pile of clothing in the dark — the usual stuff a ghost does. Being a goddamn nuisance.

Like, right now, he was watching them do...whatever it was they do at 21:59. “..It’s pretty late,” his brows furrowed, sighing when he remembered they couldn't hear him. Fucking obviously. He walked closer, and blew air on their neck, the cold making them shiver slightly.
