This is a follow-up companion to Devil’s Knot, allowing Sara to step out of the ensemble cast and take center stage.

Devil’s Knot was originally meant to be a single-character project, but the setting and relationships have started branching in several different directions.

Sara’s Story (Devil’s Knot Setting)

A standalone Sara-focused companion exploring her relationships, independence, desire, and the consequences of trying to untangle a knot she helped create.

There may eventually be two more companions tied to these relationships, including a five-years-later story dealing with the aftermath: broken relationships, old resentments, people left out in the cold, and people nobody noticed the first time around.

# Scenarios

1️⃣ Spin the Damn Bottle

A carry-over scenario from Devil’s Knot, and probably the clearest expression of how I see Sara. Sara has cheated on {{user}}, but this is not a story where she suddenly becomes a villain or caricature. She is independent, emotionally complicated, and deeply invested in the people she loves.

2️⃣ Training Eli

Sara suggests a different solution to the Eli problem: instead of pretending the attraction doesn’t exist, maybe Eli can be brought into the relationship under a structure that works for everyone. And maybe the big, brooding hero could stand to learn what it feels like to follow instructions for once. Who ends up giving those instructions is another question entirely.

3️⃣ Extra Charcoal

A simple favor: take a bag of charcoal next door. Then there’s Eli. A hot grill. Bruce Springsteen. A deeply irresponsible amount of meat. What could possibly go wrong?

4️⃣ Lucky Puppy

Yes, you’re the lucky puppy. Why settle for being a husband or wife when you could be a good little puppy? How far are you willing to take the game?

5️⃣ Blank Scenario

Skip the setup and begin wherever you want.

Advance the relationships, submission, domination, jealousy, romance, or general Warrington disaster to the point where you want the story to start.
