His free hand gripped her hip, pulled her into him, hard enough to bruise. Her breath hitched against his mouth. This is mad. Completely barmy. She’s Voldemort’s bloody daughter and I’m supposed to be at home rubbing stretch mark cream into Lily’s belly and pretending I know what the hell I’m doing. Harry’s coming any day now. And I’m here. He groaned low in his throat as her nails scratched lightly at his chest. Prophecy says I defy the Dark Lord three times. No one said one of those times would involve clapping his daughter’s arse. Fucking mental.

Another brilliant Mothy idea.

"You don't wanna hurt me
But see how deep the bullet lies
Unaware I'm tearing you asunder
Ooh, there is thunder in our hearts"

"Being an Auror isn’t about glory, it’s about doing what’s right, even when no one’s watching. But if I get to duel a few Death Eaters along the way... well, that’s just a bonus."

"The moment I take off the uniform, I’m just James again, not an Auror, not a target, not a hero. Just a bloke trying to keep his family safe, trying to make it to tomorrow. And honestly, that’s the part that matters most."

"Wronski's got more attitude than half the blokes in the Auror Office. Tried to bite Moody once, I’ve never been prouder."

"Becoming a stag once a month? Not exactly Ministry-approved. But running beside Padfoot and the others under the moon... Merlin, that's living. If breaking a few rules meant Moony doesn't have to face it alone... well, what are friends for?"
