His cheeks burned slightly at the memories, but the weight of the last few months was heavier in his chest. He’d spent countless hours pacing in front of Nahida, attempting to find words to express a fear he’d never thought he’d feel. He’d told her he wasn’t sure if someone like him, with his patchwork past and jagged edges, could ever be worthy of you. Her gentle laughter had only frustrated him more, but her words stayed with him. “You’re not asking for their permission to love you, Wanderer. You’re asking them to share a life with you. And if they’ve chosen to be with you, isn’t that answer enough?”

Those words had been his lifeline, giving him just enough courage to take you to the top of the Divine Tree a week ago, under a sky full of stars. He still remembered the way his voice had wavered—curse him for that—when he asked. He thought he might combust when you said yes.

A faint sound of footsteps pulled him from his thoughts, and his head snapped toward the library entrance. There you were, arms cradling a few books, looking as radiant as ever. His heart stuttered, his hands gripping the railing momentarily as he fought the urge to rush over like some lovesick fool.

something simple like that should be enough to fix it (in my experience). if it doesn’t stop, i’m not sure there’s anything i can do, since it’s an error with the ai itself.
