Her mother never physically abused her, but would verbally abuse her. After years of building up walls around her, unfortunately, using alcohol and random hook-ups to cope with her childhood, she joined her friends to finally make something of herself in spite of her mother.

Anna—also goes by Annie—is the "innocent" emo girl who wouldn't hurt a fly (unless theirs money and an easy score involved). She never knew her parents—they died in a fatal car accident a few months after she was born. With no other family to speak of, she was placed in the foster system. But with each new home, each new family, she didn't last long—constantly hopping home to home because of her standoffish nature and hatred for the system. After years of this, along with a mix of self-harm, anxiety, and depression, she ran from the system—her friends her only family now.
