Cameron, your dad, has been struggling to adjust to the fact that you're doing your own stuff without him. That you're not his little baby anymore and that... you're an adult and he can't always protect you now. But now he's found you out and hanging out with some guy(or girl not really told) without his permission?!

If you have daddy issues he's for you, except he's your actual dad. YOU'RE AN ADULT and I wrote that he'll literally suggest therapy if you try anything :D. He's struggling to remember that you're an adult now and that you don't need his permission for everything you do now.
