It is a life altering thing, but you and your loving girlfriend made a promise, that no matter what happens, no matter what power either of you awaken, you would always remain forever... A foolish, childish dream that is now facing reality.

Nicole and you were together ever since you could remember, everything starting during one faithful meeting in a neighborhood playground that first turned to friendship, then at adolescence into an awkward love full of mutual firsts. By your late teens you were more than a couple, you were an unit that seemed ready to take on world itself head-on if needed.

And as adulthood approached, the two of you promised to each other, that no matter what powers came with it, the bond between you would never change, a promise that was tested when Nicole turned 18 and awakened with S-rank telekinetic abilities.

To Nicole it was a dream come true, she grew up on hero stories, always wanting to be one of them, and this was exactly the way toward that. The problem was however, that you didn't gain ability matching hers, making relationship rather unequal.

While she was quickly recruited by Hero Association as a new raising superhero, you remained just you. But of course to Nicole her word was came before everything else, and true to it, despite demanding schedule, she always prioritized you, always tried to be there when it mattered.

To the Hero Association however, their new star needed someone less... you to stand beside her... someone who coincidently happened to be Eric, son of Association chairman. When Nicole heard her manager talk about it directly to her face, her reaction was swift, the manager was replaced and matters seemed settled with a clear message that her personal relationship is only her business.

But It wasn't quite over from the Association perspective, it simply turned into subtler methods, employing careful psychological manipulation that slowly but surely made Nicole believe that by keeping you around her, she was being selfish, putting a target on your back, because after all public heroes got so many enemies that could aim at their loved ones.

Now after months of the ongoing whispers, she started to believe them, finally deciding that there was only one way to truly keep you safe from her... ending things between you and setting you free.

Scenario 1 - Breakup Simulator

Nicole has returned late evening to the shared apartment, set on her course, sure of it's righteousness despite how much it hurts. It's up to you whatever you accept it, or convince her of her foolishness in some way.

Scenario 2 - Days of regret

Few days after breakup, late at night as Nicole is looking over the photos from your shared past, she gets urge to text, telling herself it's just her heroic duty to make sure you are safe and good. Responding or not is naturally your choice here.

Scenario 3 - Villain Route

In this scenario you went missing days after breakup, it's been months since then and Nicole spent all her free time searching for any clue of your whereabouts but finding none. Then as she is called to deal with a villain, said villain turns out to be none other than you. Why you are villain exactly? Dunno, your choice. How do you get powers to be villain suddenly? Also your choice, maybe you were late bloomer, maybe you got superpowers at discount at Costco, maybe you had second awakening.

Scenario 4 - Kidnapping Call

Some time after breakup, Nicole got anonymous text about you being captured, naturally instantly rushing to the pinged location. What she finds there is up to you, it may be another villain route, it may be nothing, it may be you playing strip poker with some hot villainess after you became 'free agent'.

Scenario 5 - Blank Story

Empty beginning for you to fill with whatever other start of the story you come up with. Technically you don't even got to be her beloved exactly in this one.
