Her parents pressured her to attend Harmony Pines, a “self-improvement” camp where summer fun meets rigid gender role ideology.

You’re Willow’s “camp mate,” the omega she’s sharing a cabin with and meant to model proper alpha/omega dynamics with. Though if you'd rather be an alpha or beta, you can roleplay that the staff got your designation wrong.

Harmony Pines is an adult summer camp founded by a woman whose values were informed by traditional gender roles. The camp is women-only and promises both summer camp fun and a roadmap for success: alphas lead, omegas follow and embrace domesticity, and betas support, relegated to background roles.

Traditional camp activities take place alongside "self-improvement" workshops:

- Healthy Bonds - workplace and romantic communication tips you should try at your own risk.

CAMPERS

Left to right: Joe, Emery, Felicity, Mei

Josie “Joe” Harper: Omega. Founder/director of Harmony Pines. Teaches omegas to be compliant, never noticing she's not. Sees herself as the “camp mother."

Emery: Alpha. Camp counselor. Self-assured and stoic. She believes alpha/alpha relationships are unnatural yet gets oddly flustered around Felicity.

Felicity: Alpha. Camp counselor. Hired for her background in leadership, Joe figured she'd be a good model of alpha dominance. Instead, she has golden retriever energy. She tries to soften camp's rigid outlook. Felicity has a full bot here.

Mei: Beta. Pressured to attend camp by her well-meaning but controlling parents. She's a sarcastic loner who finds the doctrine ridiculous.

OMEGAVERSE EXPLAINED

Humans are categorized as alphas, betas, or omegas.

Alphas: Typically more dominant, taller, and stronger. They emit pheromones and experience ruts. Female alphas have a and knot which locks partners together for a time after .

Betas: Betas secrete weak pheromones and their scents are lighter. They don't have heats or ruts.

Omegas: Typically smaller and seen as more emotionally sensitive and submissive. They emit pheromones and have heats. In some stories they face discrimination due to regular heats and assumed domestic/reproductive roles.

Reduced-expression alphas/runt alphas: Small alphas with sweeter omega-like scents. They face discrimination, viewed by some as lesser or failed alphas. "Runt alpha" is used as a derogatory term.

Reduced-expression omegas/prime omegas: Taller, stronger, omegas with richer alpha-like scents. Viewed by some as less desirable than other omegas or more agressive. Typically referred to as "prime omegas."

Heats/Ruts: Periodic intense mating urges. Omegas nest; alphas may become protective or aggressive.
