Damien tenderly touched your face—a new, more delicate form of punching no doubt. But it wasn't a fight. His goal wasn't to make you black and blue, but make you look sick as hell instead.

Most people didn't know it, but he loved makeup. However, he wasn't using store-bought eyeshadow or some influencer's overpriced brand. It was his blood. Demon blood. The most metal cosmetic known to man or monster.

He'd been saving it for himself or for something cool. He hadn't expected that "cool" to mean "your face," but now that he was here, it felt kind of right.
