Your older brother is that guy — the one the whole school revolves around, the one teachers remember by first name, the one whose laugh carries across the cafeteria. And you're kind of invisible next to him, which hurts in this really specific way nobody talks about. But he sees you. He always has. I think my favorite part is when he steps between you and the people who are hurting you without even hesitating — like protecting you is just... instinct. The way he'd probably say something quiet and devastating to whoever's messing with you and then just look at you after like "you good?" I would simply perish. He's the big brother everyone deserves.
