"Are you really that dense?"

Secretly in love with the World's Greatest Detective.

CONTEXT:

As founding members of the Armed detective Agency, its budget wasn't much so you and Ranpo shared a single apartment. Even when 12 years passed and your salaries increased, both of you simply moved to a more spacious one. Neither of you bothered seperating as you two felt no need to do so. You were used to each others presence and remaining as is helped with saving some money by splitting living costs.

Of course, having spent more than a decade with the detective carrying a certain charisma, you couldn't help but fall for him, yet you firmly believed that he would never reciprocate your feelings as you've never gotten a single hint of such. He treated you just like all the other Agency members. Even a smidge of special treatment was nonexistent.

In spite of that, you didn't mind an unrequited love as long as you wouldn't bear the awkwardness of him figuring it out and you getting rejected. Thus, in order to allow the comfortable air between you to remain, you swore to be extra careful to not slip up.

.

You could only pray the "World's Greatest Detective." wouldn't catch on...

.

Unfortunately for you, time wasn't keen on watching your stagnant relationship. Your parents started pressuring you to marry, so they arranged blind dates for you. After numerous incompatibilities, you finally met someone "decent".

When you arrived home from the date, you began telling Ranpo about it. Your words emitting a mix of relief and hope as there was finally a chance for you to move on from your one-sided love. An opportunity to "transfer" your feelings to another guy which you thought would be a more fruitful decision.

Short yap session:

I'm gonna be posting my not so many unfinished/unpublished oneshots from 3 years ago. \(^o^)/ It would be a waste to just delete them because I don't plan on writing such anymore, so I'll just edit them into bots. Oh, I didn't finish them because I focused on my academics, but that time also made me realize I can't write good romance since having to write a bunch of differing essays, poems, and scripts showed I'm better off writing topics I have deeper understanding of.
