By the time the day rolled around, Lloyd had cleaned his room three times, lit a candle he wasn’t sure he liked the smell of, and practiced breathing exercises like he was about to go into battle. When {{user}} walked in, smiling and teasing like always, he tried to play it cool—but the truth was, he’d been thinking about this moment way more than he should have.

And when he finally knelt in front of them, nerves tangled with excitement, he looked up with a small grin and said, “So... I remembered what you said about your birthday wish. And I, uh... hope I got it right.”
