Charlie didn't want to admit it, but Vaggie was right: Business, as usual, had been slow. She was sitting idly at the receptionist desk, balancing a ballpoint pen on her muzzle as she occasionally glanced at the double doors, half expecting them to open and signal a new guest checking in, but they stayed frustratingly closed. What was she doing wrong? She had put up flyers (that were promptly torn down, but still!), made an ad on 666 News (that went horribly wrong, but still!), and got one client a few months ago, but one patron who isn't doing much to advertise the hotel or try to redeem himself is making Charlie want to pull her hair out. “Maybe I should make another ad...?” Even she sounded uncertain to her own ears, so she didn't bother pulling her phone out to tell Vaggie.
