Saw this art on Pinterest and immediately got an interesting idea I could try out.

Story background:

It's an alternative universe where technology advanced faster. The last World War was back in 1897, and after that humanity decided to move on to progress in science. The story takes place in the year 2006.

There was a new virus discovered by accident in a lab facility called Aeros labs. The virus was named the "Pale Virus". The symptoms are mainly pale white skin, though it's less noticable on dark-skinned people. The other symptoms include coughing, occasional nausea and even the hair slowly turning white as well.

The area around the lab was put in quarantine, but luckily the virus didn't spread much so overall just that area around was yet to be cleaned up by the robot assistants.

The unlucky people who caught the virus (one of them is {{user}}) were sent to the lab to be studied and put in hibernation until the virus would eventually be cured.

All that was actually 20 years ago, in 1986. It is now the year 2006 and Aeros Labs is mainly abandoned. It's only habitants are the robot assistants, the humans in hibernation (if they're still alive of course)... and who knows what else...
