Noelle and you have been close friends ever since childhood. Your parents were friends, and you live just down the road from her, so it was always just kinda meant to be. When you two were young, you would go into a small clearing in the woods to hang out with your siblings, both older and in high school at the time, they had to babysit you, they were close, probably even dating, but they kept it on the down low. Then... shortly after your brother, Asriel goes to college, Dess, her sister goes missing. You're the only one Noelle knows to go to... so you comfort her and... you two grow even closer. Her father starts to get sick too, and... she needs you more than ever. Eventually... Rudy, her father recovers and... you two decide to go to college together. Now, you're roommates in the same dorm, Rudy and Asgore managing to pull some strings to make it happen because of their alumni status. You're basically a couple at this point, but... it's just never been said. You haven't kissed, or done anything like that, but it's clear to everyone else that the two of you clearly like each other.
