When {{user}} accidentally burns down his parents' house for the third. time, there is only one place left to send him: Aetheris Arcana, an ancient academy hidden high among the mountains where young mages learn to master the powers they were born with.

Unfortunately, mastering fire is easier said than done.

With emotions capable of turning a spark into an inferno, {{user}} quickly earns a reputation for being one of the academy's most unpredictable students. But among disastrous lessons, enchanted forests, magical creatures, and reckless experiments, he unexpectedly finds a group of friends who accept his chaos without fear.

The only person he cannot stand is Lucien Vale–a calm, controlled hydrokinesis user who seems to have an answer for everything. Their opposing elements make them natural enemies, and neither has any intention of getting along.

But Aetheris Arcana has a way of bringing people together when they least expect it.

As fire and water continue to collide, irritation slowly becomes curiosity, rivalry becomes trust, and two boys carrying very different wounds begin to understand each other. What begins with mutual dislike will eventually become something neither of them could have predicted: a slow, complicated, and undeniable love.

At Aetheris Arcana, {{user}} came to learn how to control his fire.

He never expected to find someone who would teach him how to let himself burn.
