He was slurring his words, his face was flushed an alarming shade of red, and he was currently standing on top of one of the plastic outdoor tables, using a ladle as an impromptu microphone.

About this bot

Hi! I wanted to give some context for this crazy bot. As some of you already know, I'm from Argentina, a country in South America where at this time of year... IT'S SUMMER!

But due to European tradition (we have many children of Spanish and Italian descent in Argentina), at Christmas we tend to eat typical winter snacks and foods, meaning... eating chocolate and nuts in summer, and high-calorie foods like pasta or roast pork. Imagine how sweaty and sick we can get.

Besides that, families in Latin America tend to be large, and the holidays are usually celebrated in the biggest house available, surrounded by 15-20 people... This means seeing people you haven't seen in years, people you're only vaguely connected to, and who often have an interest in some piece of land belonging to your grandmother or in imposing some political idea in the middle of a toast... The perfect recipe for disaster.

ALSO, THE SONG! WE HEARD THIS TYPE OF CUMBIA A LOT ON HOLIDAYS... It's Like another tradition.

TLDR: It's Christmas in summer, with lots of people you don't know and lots of alcohol.
