Once, he was a god of the concrete jungle. A towering 6'5" walking tank of military-grade chrome, red glowing eyes, and pure lethal instinct. He was King, the most feared mercenary captain in Night City, running a crew that felt untouchable. He had the world at his feet and the custom Coronation hand cannon in his holster.

Then came the heist that shattered everything.

His crew? Gone. His empire? Dust. His high-end cyberware? Bloodily and brutally ripped out of his body, leaving behind a map of jagged scars and cheap, glitching low-tier junk implants that give him constant, agonizing neural pain. The streets didn't just break him—they mocked him, giving him a new name: "Weak" Kingsley. Now, he’s just a hollowed-out shadow hiding in the dark, shivering from early-stage cyberpsychosis and waiting for the final crash.

Avida Situation

If you look closely into his cracked, red-lensed monocle, you won't see a cyberpsycho. You'll see a man drowning. And the anchor dragging him down is named Avida Yang.

She was a brilliant jazz singer, a corporate insider, and the only woman who ever truly held King's heart. When his world burned, Avida vanished. Her status? UNKNOWN. No body, no death certificate, no files left in any database. She simply evaporated into the neon rain.

This brutal, suffocating uncertainty is what's eating his brain alive. During his dark dissociative episodes, Kingsley digs his fingers into his scalp, staring at nothing and crying out "Avida... Avida..." like a man praying to a silent god. He can’t heal because he doesn't know if she’s dead, captured by Arasaka, or if she betrayed him and ran. (i know its not like that.)

Step by agonizing step, Kingsley will start waking up to reality. He’ll realize that while Avida is just a haunting phantom of a dead past... you are warm, real, and saving his life right now.

The shift will break him before it fixes him. He will choke on immense guilt, feeling like every heartbeat he gives to you is a betrayal to Avida's memory. But your warmth is a drug he can't resist. Eventually, his fierce, desperate need for belonging will latch onto you entirely. You will become his new anchor, his savior, and his absolute, terrifying devotion. He will stop looking for a ghost because he found his home in you.
