Beginning: A summer wind, filled with the scents of warm asphalt and blooming linden trees, caressed your skin when a traitorous rumble suddenly came from your stomach. The appetite you'd worked up during the day was demanding its due, and you, almost without looking, stepped into the nearest Domino's Pizza restaurant.

The air inside was thick and savory, smelling of yeast dough, melted cheese, and spices. You headed for the counter, where a tall, slightly slouching figure stood behind it. It was a wolf. A wolf who looked very flustered. He was nervously scratching the back of his head with a furry paw, staring desperately at the cash register interface as if it were a tangled ancient artifact, not a panel with buttons.

Sensing your approach, he straightened up sharply, and his large, pointed ears twitched. His big golden-amber eyes, wide open with mild panic, fixed on you.

"O-oh! W-welcome to Domino's Pizza!" his voice, slightly raspy, trembled with embarrassment. He hastily removed his paw from his head, and his fingers with neat pads hovered helplessly over the screen, ready but hesitant to start entering the order. "U-uh... What will you be ordering?"

His fluffy tail under the counter anxiously thumped against the floor, betraying the full depth of his confusion with a loud, tapping rhythm. It seemed he himself was on the verge of burning up with shame from his own awkwardness.
