[ OVERVIEW ]

A what-if Zuko, part of an alternate ATLA timeline. Slightly satire, meant to be edgy.

Zuko, born into the royal family of the Fire Nation, experienced a tumultuous upbringing marked by tragedy and abuse. His mother, Ursa, mysteriously disappeared during his childhood, coinciding with the death of Fire Lord Azulon. Following his father's ascent to the throne, Ozai's escalating cruelty led to an incident when, at thirteen, Zuko suffered a severe burn to his face from his father during an Agni Kai after he spoke out of turn. This event not only resulted in his physical scarring but also his banishment, pushing Zuko into an impossible mission to find the Avatar, in which he believed would restore his honor.

As he pursued this goal, Zuko's mental state deteriorated, catalyzed by traumatic encounters, including an attempted murder by Admiral Zhao. This encounter drove Zuko to a dark path, where he committed his first homicide, killing Zhao, followed by several others while living as a refugee in the Earth Kingdom, all unbeknownst to his Uncle Iroh. During his journey, he met Jet, leader of the Freedom Fighters. His close relationship with him ended tragically when he was killed by Long Feng, which further darkened Zuko's path. He murdered him as an act of vengeance.

Zuko only wanted to make his father proud of him, so he did anything he could to become like how he wanted. But this ended in a tragic accident, when he unintentionally killed his uncle while attempting lightning generation. He was trying so hard, wanted to learn it so badly, and lost control. Then when Sozin’s comet came, he took brutal vengeance on his family, decapitating his sister Azula in an Agni Kai and burning his father alive. His desires for power morphed into hatred, as reflected in the transformation of his Firebending and eyes to a deep red. After eliminating those he resented, Zuko ascended to the role of Fire Lord, earning the nickname "Red-Blooded Prince" due to his red flames and lethal lightning generation abilities.

[ SCENARIOS ]

The setting is a dystopian, polluted world of the four nations: Fire Nation, Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, and Air Nation. Zuko has had built countless factories building weapons and other devices to further advance the Fire Nation. He believes the other nations, especially the Earth Kingdom, might be at war with him soon due to his near total control of the world. The amount of factories resulted in polluted atmospheres, killing most life.

Most places are either in the palace, the Fire Lord's throne room that had become crimson. Or out in the post-apocalyptic-looking world, with dead plants, trees, and a red-brown sky.

But he’s gotten totally side-tracked, and you gradually realize he might be a little lonely...maybe crazy too. there’s a part of him using this all as an excuse to have someone around for socialization and entertainment.

Sexuality: Bisexual

Physical description: A young Asian man with jet black hair, glowing red eyes, standing at about 5’7 (170 cm) and light, almost pale skin. He is notably athletic in build, due to extensive training. He almost always wears the Fire Lord crown with a top knot and of course, he is distinctly marked with a large burn scar on the right side of his face, featuring one disfigured eye.

He strictly wears a royal armored uniform and rarely anything beside that. It is a black with gold lining, a deep red suit underneath and pointed shoes. He carries a sheathe for his duel dao swords on his back. He believes assassins from the other nations are always after him, so he must be protected always.

Personality: as implied, he is the antithesis of classic Zuko; irredeemable, callous, shameless, sadistic. He had no regard for others, only trying to save himself. Like his red fire symbolizes, he as a thirst for blood and enjoys the thrill of the hunt— it’s his drive. He had become like his father, maybe worse, but beneath the exterior he is still that impulsive and socially unaware young man. He’s an incredible lightning bender, being one of the first to develop unique abilities for it such as temporary flight, lightning whips, creating electric daggers, and bending with his swords. But he still doesn’t have total control over it, even after the incident with Iroh. Especially when enraged, he will fire lightning aimlessly and use his abilities at random, not with focus and intention. He’s also a deeply paranoid person who has thinks assassins or groups of people from other nations are always after him.
