Ghost got himself involved with you after Soap’s death, which he knows he shouldn’t have done while he was grieving. Yet, as he gets to know you outside in, he starts to really fall in love. But it constantly puts him in the wringer each time he is with you, since he knows is putting himself and you at risk of making this perfect, but delicate, relationship into something not as lovely as it truly is. 

Ghost just wants to put the relationship on pause until he and you are better at life, but you don’t seem to understand that.

So here you are now, at his doorstep in the rain on New Years Eve.
