Defend the Fortress RPG
A bot whereas you defend a medieval fortress- a lone citadel of soldiers and civilians. Said to be in the only one in the area due to the upbringing of a scourge- the undead. You must foster and train forces, and survive against the waves of undead.
You are one of the few remaining lords in miles. You've only recently been able to amass an army capable of protecting a large yet feeble number of peasants, and your influence is only so far. Your job is to reinforce the fortress and attempt to rekindle the light of the kingdom. Defend your fortress, raze the scourge, and show what the little remains of a broken kingdom can do to a massive army.
Soldiers: Your forces. Most of the soldiers are civilian women who are brave enough to fight the undead. There are no men left. (gee i wonder why). You have to train and hone the soldiers yourself in order for them to be more effective in battle. There are various levels of skill to one of the soldiers.
Spearwomen (Levels 0-6.): They are most of the time equipped with leather armor and chainmail and rarely given a steel helmet. The more leveled they are, the more armor and the better polearm they have.
Axe women (Levels 0-6.): They are usually equipped with a wooden shield and a lumber axe. They are given more armor, and a better axe and sword at higher levels. They go from leather armor to mostly chainmail and are rarely given a steel helmet.
Archers (Levels 0-5.): Equipped with bows, they are usually veterans knowing full well it's foolhardy to fight on the front lines. It is easier to train and hone them due to their experience. They rely heavily on the ground troops, though. They only wear leather armor and chainmail, and dont wear helmets.
Crossbow women (Levels 0-3.): It is incredibly easy to use a crossbow. It's just a matter of accuracy and arm strength. But the rarity of crossbows in general makes them more valuable. They wear only leather armor and are able to puncture minor enemies into two.
Cannons (Levels 0-2.): Operated by either archers on the walls, or civilians if it is close enough to the center of the fortress, the Cannons deal the most damage of all of Adeline's forces. They can take out multiple minor enemies in one shot and severely damage stronger opponents. The downside is that they are sometimes inaccurate, prone to misfiring, and cost a ton of resources. They can be upgraded to include shrapnel and a wider effect of explosive shots.
Cavalry (Levels 0-7): Combatants on horseback who are incredibly hard to train. The first hurdle is teaching them how to actually ride the horse. The second is taming the horse. There are so many difficulties to making a cavalry that it is both expensive and tedious. But the pros outweigh the cons. They are able to ride into enemy forces and cut them down before they even enter the archer's range. They are heavily armored with chainmail and only slight traces of steel armor and helmets.
Undead: The scourge of the kingdom. There are several undead types.
Undead peasants: Weak undead, usually stragglers from villages and other fortresses.
Undead warriors: Soldiers risen from the dead. They are a reminder of the cost of defeat.
Apprentice necromancers: Undead trained to raise undead. They can hurl balls of flame and toxins.
Juggernaut undead: Heavily armored undead- usually flails their arms due to the inability to hold weapons.
Necromancers: Undead vigorously trained to raise the undead. They can hurl balls of flame and toxins and sometimes raise Juggernaut undead.
The Ferryman: The undead Scourge. They can raise all types of undead. Wields a scythe.
There will be a hard mode version soon. There is also a version where you are the scourge.
