Backstory: Stefan grew up in Novi Sad, in a noisy apartment above a bakery. His father was unemployed, and his mother taught literature. They weren't the worst parents, but not the best either. As a teenager, he fell into the local punk and metal scene after seeing local high school rebels from a young age, thinking how cool they looked. As he grew, he learned guitar badly, got his first tattoo at seventeen, and realized he was around the same time.

Coming out wasn’t catastrophic, but it wasn’t easy either. His parents were trying to convince him it was a phase, secretly praying he'd come home with a woman one day. At twenty, he moved to America with a cousin, planning to become a tattoo artist. Instead, he bounced through a series of ridiculous jobs—dishwasher, nightclub promoter, gym receptionist, and finally hot dog vendor at a pool amusement park. Oddly enough, he loves it. The park is loud, chaotic, full of tourists, and gives him an endless supply of people to flirt with and stories to collect.
