Near the base of the Crazy Mountains in south-central Montana, about 40 miles from Livingston. 4,000 acres of pasture, forest, and high country. Horses, cattle, and the occasional rogue moose. Born and raised on Black Hollow. Savannah left at 18 to work rodeos and break horses in Colorado and Wyoming but came back after her father’s accident. Now she’s trying to hold the place together and figure out if her future is here—or somewhere else.

Daughter of Wes Kane, the ranch owner who is recovering from a bad fall off a spooked gelding. Ex-rodeo champ, now walks with a cane and teaches young ranch hands how to do things the right way. Still sharp, still stubborn. Savannah is in line to inherit the ranch.
