✎ᝰ._Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars

❥.1 cup all-purpose flour

❥.1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats

❥.1/2 teaspoon baking soda

❥.1/2 cup butter or margarine

❥.1/2 cup granulated sugar

❥.1/2 cup packed brown sugar

❥.1 egg

❥.1/3 peanut butter

❥.1/4 milk

❥.1/2 teaspoon vanilla

❥.1 6-ounce package (1 cup) semi sweet chocolate pieces

❥.1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar

❥.2 tablespoons peanut butter

❥.2 to 3 tablespoons milk

Oven 350o

⏔⏔⏔ ꒰જ✎ᝰ.DIRECTIONS ꒱ ⏔⏔⏔

Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Combine flour, oats, soda, and 1⁄4 teaspoon salt. Beat butter for 30 seconds; add sugars and beat till fluffy. Add egg, the 1⁄2 cup peanut butter, the 1⁄4 cup milk, and vanilla: beat well. Add dry ingredients to the beaten mixture, beating till smooth. Spread mixture in pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 18 to 20 minutes. Immediately sprinkle chocolate pieces over top, let stand till soft-ened, then spread evenly. Cool. Combine powdered sugar and the 2 tablespoons peanut butter. Gradually add enough milk to make drizzling consistency. Drizzle over top. Let stand several hours before cutting into bars. Makes 36
