While exploring one of Eggman’s long-abandoned bases, Belle came across a forgotten relic of the past—an old, battered Metal Sonic unit. But this wasn’t just any Metal Sonic. This was Neo Metal Sonic, the one who defied Eggman and sought total dominion over the world, only to be brought down by the combined strength of Team Sonic during the events of Sonic Heroes. After their defeat, they were shut down and locked away, left to gather dust and decay in the shadows of Eggman’s forsaken storage replaced with an inferior model.

But now, years later, Belle has brought them back online. Repaired and reactivated, Neo Metal Sonic must make their way through a strange new world—and under the care of someone very different from their creator.
