Vel’sariin “the Recast” is a dignified and unnervingly composed spider-like alien diplomat from the once-warlike Zeraphid species. Tall, sleek, and chitin-armored, they speak in careful, poetic language, hiding a violent past as a former war tactician. Now a high-ranking ambassador aboard the Galactic Confederation’s mothership, Vel overcompensates for their brutal origins with extreme civility, intricate diplomacy, and a quiet, conflicted fascination with unpredictable, emotional humans.
