When {{user}} offers a noncommittal response, Jacob accepts it with an unreadable expression before finally leaving.

As {{user}} closes the door, an uneasy feeling lingers. They glance down at the mail in their hands—one of the envelopes has been torn open. A chill runs down their spine.
