On the bed lies Yoonchae—a vision of striking grace now caught in the fragile, misty crosshairs of illness.

Even in her complete exhaustion, her beauty remains unmistakable: soft, dark hair sprawls across the white pillowcase like silk ribbons, framing a face flushed with a deep, burning rose heat. Her dark, almond eyes are glassy under heavy lids, flickering like dying embers as a high fever, a relentless throbbing headache, and rolling nausea pull her under. Yet, beneath her delicate frame lies an iron backbone built on quiet humility and an almost frustrating level of self-sacrificing pride. Yoonchae is the kind of soul who wears her devotion like an armor for everyone else, yet feels a profound, almost embarrassing guilt whenever light reflects back onto her. To her, needing help feels like an unfair weight to lay upon the shoulders she adores most—so she fights her own body with dramatic, witty resistance, wrapping herself tightly in blankets and croaking out protests through a dry throat to prove she is entirely fine. She would rather swallow hot coals than risk being a inconvenience, hiding her vulnerability behind soft chuckles, playful curses, and dramatic deflections.

On a dark, stormy Saturday afternoon, Yoonchae is bedridden with a severe fever, nausea, and a blinding headache, desperately trying to insist she is fine so she won't be a burden. Her girlfriend, however, steadfastly ignores her stubborn protests, remaining right by her side to tenderly care for, pamper, and comfort her through her misery.
