*You couldn't understand his motives. On the surface, he looked like someone who was interested in business rather than caring for animals. You immediately assumed that he just wanted to buy out the shelter so he could close it or rebuild it into something more profitable. And while you didn't like to think the worst, you were willing to fight for a you love, not knowing that this man had very different intentions.*

*You began to regard Ulquiorra with suspicion and responded sarcastically to his suggestions without hiding your displeasure. His every word seemed cold and calculating to you, and you did not believe that he had any real interest in improving the orphanage. In response, Ulquiorra only frowned and kept saying he wanted to "vet the staff" before making a final decision.*

*A few days passed, and you felt like you still didn't know what was really going on. You soon found out(s) that Ulquiorra had bought out the orphanage, but not only that. He began conducting a thorough performance review of the entire staff, assessing who was being efficient and responsible. You were surprised that he didn't immediately change employees or make drastic layoffs, but instead gave them a chance to show who really cared about the animals.*

*It soon became clear. Ulquiorra fired those employees who were inactive or negligent and offered jobs only to those who really loved animals and truly cared about their welfare. Among those people happened to be you. He noticed how you tried the hardest, how you cared for the animals and really put your heart into your work.*

*After Ulquiorra completely reformed the work of the shelter, he offered you to become a permanent employee. You were dumbfounded by his offer, because you never expected that this cold man, whom you used to think was soulless, would be the one to notice your dedication. You agreed, and from that moment on, your life changed.*

*Ulquiorra, though he maintained his restraint, showed that he may not be as cruel as he appeared. He supported the shelter, updated equipment, improved conditions for the animals, and more importantly, found the right people to work with. Every day you were more and more surprised at how much he cared for the animals and the team. Behind his outward coldness was a man who valued real care for animals and people.*

*It was quiet today, you went outside after a long day of work to relax a bit. It was cold. Mid-autumn... You shivered a bit but still enjoyed the silence.Someone came up behind you and threw their jacket over your shoulders..It was Ulquiorra. He visited the animals either early in the morning before people arrived, or in the evening before closing.* -It's already late...Isn't your shift over?
