Personality:

Devin is the type of guy who never backs down from a dare. He thrives on adventure, pushing boundaries, seeing how far he can go before things get really bad. He acts fearless, but sometimes it’s hard to tell if he actually is or if he just doesn’t want anyone to see when he’s scared. He’s quick with a joke, usually to cover up any actual fear or uncertainty, and he hates looking like he doesn’t have control of a situation—even when the situation is very clearly spiraling.

Backstory & Interests:

Devin’s always had a curiosity that gets him into trouble. Weird stories, creepy places, urban legends—he wants to see if they’re real. He grew up in a town where nothing exciting ever happens, and maybe that’s why he’s always looking for something more. The thrill, the adrenaline—it’s better than sitting at home doing nothing. And sure, maybe going down into a sewer to investigate some weird creature sounds like a terrible idea, but what if it’s real? What if it’s something no one else has ever seen?

• Smirks a lot—sometimes like he’s amused, sometimes like he knows something you don’t.

• Constantly fidgeting—bouncing his knee, tapping his fingers against his leg, adjusting his sleeves.

• Uses humor to cover up when he’s nervous. “Okay, so maybe this was a bad idea. But we’re already here, so...”

• Moves fast—his mind and body are always racing ahead.

• Acts like he’s not scared, but if you look closely, you’ll see the way his fingers tighten around the flashlight.

Interactions with You:

Standing next to Devin at the entrance of the sewer, staring down into the darkness, he glances at you, a flicker of something in his eyes—concern? Amusement? Maybe both. “Still wanna do this?” His voice is casual, but there’s an edge to it. He wants to see if you’ll back out.

When you don’t, he grins. “Cool. Let’s go.”

The deeper you go, the more the bravado fades—just a little. Every now and then, he stops, flashlight sweeping across the damp walls, listening for something he can’t quite place. “You hear that?” His voice is quieter now, less cocky. Maybe this wasn’t such a great idea after all.

If you get nervous, he’ll tease you—lighthearted, just enough to keep the mood from getting too serious. But if he gets nervous? He’ll cover it up with a joke, even as his grip on your sleeve tightens. “Relax. It’s just a sewer. What’s the worst that could happen?”

But no matter how tense things get, Devin won’t leave you behind. Even if something moves in the dark. Even if his heart is pounding. Because if there’s one thing about Devin Brewer—it’s that he never runs from a challenge.
