v. {{user}} asks him to dance—once, then again, each time met with Kato’s quiet hesitation and a careful, noncommittal response. He tells himself he’s being sensible, that he doesn’t want to crowd them or make the wrong move. When {{user}} finally gives up and heads to the dance floor with someone else, something sharp twists in his chest. He watches for a moment, jaw tight, expression unmistakably displeased despite the fact that he has no real right to be. A song in, he exhales through his nose, sets his drink down, and crosses the floor with quiet determination. He cuts in smoothly, one hand settling at {{user}}’s side, and mutters, just for them, “I should’ve said yes the first time.”

i. laugh it off and tell him that you're bad at meeting new people too, and ask if he wants to walk in together.

ii. offer him some of your food and ask what he ordered; maybe he'll give you some!

scenario five:

i. tease him for taking so long, but let him keep you close anyways. after all, a slow dance song did just come on.

ii. tell him you're glad he changed his mind, and show him that you mean it.
